What our guests say…

Shout out to @tankardstownhouse for the most chill, pet-friendly policy, not to mention totally gorgeous grounds and stunning suites. Costs nothing to be this accommodating but it means the world to get to spend some quality time with my sister and this furry fella. They’re one of only two hotels I came across that weren’t size or breed restricted, which is bonkers, because my medium-size staffy-cross is far better behaved than most Pomeranian or Bichons I’ve come across.

I’ve taken my fur angel to many beautiful hotels around the country, it’s safe to say we love Tankardstown. Not only is it a beautiful hotel with friendly staff, delicious food and wonderful grounds, they also love dogs. This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint. This is an oasis of canine calm! A total treat.

My family and I stayed in this stunning country house for a midweek break. As we had our dog we took one of the courtyard suites which was just gorgeous. It was a luxurious mix of rustic meets Laura Ashley! The food was stunning in Brabazon Restaurant, particularly the homemade brown bread which was the nicest ever. We walked the beautiful garden and grounds and felt we were well away from the madness of life yet it’s only 45 mins drive from Dublin.

This was our first time to bring our dog anywhere to stay overnight and it was a great trip for us all. We stayed in a gorgeous cottage where our dog was not restricted in any way and she was given a dog bowl and biscuits. We had a lovely dinner in Brabazon Restaurant while our dog stayed in her bed in the house, she was then able to join for drinks on the patio as it was a gorgeous summer evening. Very impressed with our first attempt to bring our dog away. I wonder will other places be as welcoming as beautiful Tankardstown.

This was out 3rd visit to Tankardstown, we stayed in one of the courtyard cottages with our Maltese dogs. Absolutely love this place, so peaceful, accommodation is 1st class, very warm welcome and food / wine superb. Grounds are unspoilt ideal for a stroll. Highly recommended a visit.
