An elegant two storey building with seven stone pinnacles, Batty Langley Lodge was designed to be viewed from the River Walk below as part of the planned landscape surrounding the world famous Palladian Castletown House. It is due to the generosity of OPW – both financially and by partnership with Irish Landmark – that this building is available for our guests.

It is situated on the old Dublin entrance to Castletown House, now a quiet country lane. It is far removed from the hustle and bustle of normal every day life. A perfect place to relax while still being able to get in to Dublin city within an hour.

Irish Landmark properties that welcome a pet may not have secure enclosures. It is vital that you supervise your pet during your stay. One dog is allowed at this property.

What our guests say…

In a world gone mad, how reassuring it is to know that a place like this still exists. Top tip of your stay: take off your watch when you arrive and don’t put it back on until you leave – time means nothing here!

From the moment we arrived and were welcomed by Teresa so warmly we were entranced. This wee house is charming, really well-equipped and so very comfortable. Our dog also had a good time, very secure small garden by house and loads of great walking on leash in the fabulous Castletown Estate and lovely Celbridge.
Mary
We loved our stay at Batty Langley. It is such a quaint cozy little place. We brought our dog Poppy with us. She learned how to swim for the very first time and absolutely loved every minute. The grounds are beautiful too.

Myself, my wife and our dog stayed here for a weekend in March. From the very start, we were impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the service. Cottage itself is even better in person than in the pics and situated on fabulous grounds – great if you bring a 4 legged friend!

We had a great time at the Batty Langley Lodge – prefect for what we wanted, a quiet get-a-way after the Christmas madness!
Also, dog friendly, which is a real bonus for our Irish terrier! Very romantic, with log burning fire, etc.
