Winky was rescued from the pound in Australia and she lived in Tasmania for almost 10 years. She moved to Ireland with her family in 2008 and lived in Dublin near the beach for another 2 years. Winky was called Winky for a good reason - she only had one eye - but she didn't let that slow her down. On 19 January 2010 she had to be put to sleep because of complications related to her arthritis. She was a great dog who had a great life in Tasmania and in Ireland and she loved to stretch out by the fire after long walks on the beach.

Aw poor Winky, really sorry to hear Winky has passed. Its really sad when you lose a pet/best friend. I'm sure Winky is having a great time in doggy heaven.

Welcome Winky. What a long journey she had and what a lucky dog to have found such a good home. She looks like she's enjoying every minute. Well done to you for giving her a second chance. One of our gang is a blind greyhound but they adapt to their surroundings quite quickly don't they. George flies around the garden now.
