Peggy is a TerrierPeggy is a little Terrier girl who just came to her new home in Sweden. She's about 16 months old and came to us all the way from Carrick Dog Shelter in Co. Monaghan. She was probably not handled at all during her first year and was found living alone in a cattle shed, scared and insecure. After 4 months of love, care and rehabilitation at the shelter, she was ready for a new loving home. We are so happy to have her here. Peggy is a total sweetheart. She's very careful in her approach, but at the same time enormously curious.

It always tugs at the heartstrings when you see a little one like this and know times were hard for them... so its so lovely to think she is so happy now... thank you for making the effort to have her with you... true dog lovers have to be good people. She is so gorgeous and hearing her story somehow makes her more so... her story is similiar to my little Amber who is the life and soul of my house now. I hope you and she enjoy long health and happiness.

Hi, well done to you for giving Peggy a loving home. We wish more people in Ireland would do the same. We have a number of rescue dogs from Carrick ourselves and just can't speak highly enough about the work that they do there. Peggy looks so happy now. Enjoy many good years with her.

Peggy certainly landed on her feet with you! See her double (Patches) on the Carrick Dog Shelter website.

She settled really well here and is getting to know the routines. It's great to see her become more and more confident, taking actions on her own, and playing with us or on her own. She loves to be cuddled and handled and she loves to rest right next to us at all times. She has found a great Poodle friend, Signe, with whom she plays chasing games until they both have to lay down from exhaustion.
