Antiques, books and family portraits are tastefully combined with modern comforts to ensure a relaxing atmosphere. Our 250 year old Georgian farmhouse on a working tillage and beef farm is situated close to the market town of Athy in the heart of South Kildare.
An intimate hideaway Moate Lodge offers a relaxing, slower pace of life with the opportunity to unwind in our peaceful garden or to walk through our working farm. Personal attention is given to all guests and our drawing room features log fires where guests are treated to complementary home baked scones and strawberry jam. You are also welcome to enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner in our dining room where the cuisine is based on fresh local produce.
Moate Lodge is dog-friendly and you are welcome to bring your dogs with you while you enjoy your stay with us. We ask that you bring all food & bedding with you and request that all dogs are kept under your supervision at all times. All dogs must be booked in when you are making a reservation (there is no additional charge for dogs but please call to check availability). Our extensive gardens are perfect for exercising your dogs and there are many beautiful areas close-by that both you and your dogs will enjoy.
