Jack is a Border CollieJack was born in 2007 in Co. Kerry. When I first found him he lived on a farm with seven of his little brothers and sisters. I would loved to have taken them all but Jack was by far the most ill-treated. He was riddled with lice and nits, his hair was falling out and he had scabs on his back. He was very sick so I took him home and brought him to the vet. We didn't know if he would make it. However, Jack being the strong soul he is battled through the sprays and dyes that were put on his skin and the copious amount of baths he endured.

It appears a good deal of farm dogs don't seem to have much quality of life... I hate when someone says. "for God's sake, it is just a dog after all"... Jack is super lucky and looks so gorgeous... I imagine he knows he was saved... I love the photo of trying out for the hurling team!!!!  It sounds like you love him dearly and he returns it 100 fold... thanks for saving him.

It's so good to see a dog recover so well and find a lovely person to take care of him. Well done!

Now, as you can see, Jack is a gorgeous animal who is so full of life! He never ever ever stops throwing footballs, bottle caps, shoes and anything he can get his mouth around at my feet or on my lap. Jack is extremely smart and can open and close doors, often leaving them open so he can drag me outside! He is an incredible dog, he is the love of my life and what I'd do without him I'll never know. His favourite things to do are eating toast, throwing random objects at me to throw and jumping over stuff.
