SARDA is a voluntary 999 / 112 emergency search and rescue organization concerned with the training, assessment and deployment of Air Scenting Search and Rescue Dogs to search for missing persons. Our friendly and highly trained teams can find people lost virtually anywhere, including mountains, hills, fields, bogs, forestry, dense cover, waterside, seashore and urban areas. We help confused, distressed or disoriented people who may have wandered away from homes or hospitals, mountain hikers and climbers trapped on the mountains due to injury, navigation failure or weather, accident victims and victims of natural or manmade disasters such as avalanches, floods, explosions and fires.

Irish Therapy Dogs was founded in 2008 by people with a dedicated interest in the use of pet therapy for the provision of comfort and companionship to people in long-term or daily residential care. It is a professional organisation aimed at providing a pet therapy service on a national basis. Our mission is to provide physical, therapeutic and educational benefit to people, young and old, fit and frail, alert and impaired, in hospitals, nursing homes, day care centres, schools and other places where people may be restricted from having pets and where the presence of dogs and their owners will add comfort and support. Our visiting teams bring great joy and comfort to the many people we visit.
