This is my best friend called Deefer. We don't consider him to be a dog! He is just one of the family. He is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and is black and white in colour. We think he is a really great pet and he is a very loyal friend to us! He has lots and lots of energy and he loves going for long walks and playing in the garden with my four children. Unfortunately because of the bad press that they get a lot of people think that Staffies are dangerous dogs but I am here to prove that they are sweet, gentle, loving dogs in the right hands!

Oh goodness the photos with your children are just so beautiful... its a lovely story and he is a beautiful and very lucky furry member of your family... as it seems are you to have him... hope you all enjoy long health and happiness.

Aww Deefer is absolutely fabulous!!! I know how you feel about bad press, I've got a boxer crossed with a staffie & people cross the road to avoid him and he wouldn't harm a fly! He even plays with my guinea pigs he's that soft!!!!

Deefer is a gorgeous little fella. I love the pic of him at the car window. Terrible how certain breeds get bad press. We have a rottweiler, doberman and staffie in our estate and all 3 of them are the nicest of animals and very gentle.

Hi, Deefer is just beautiful. I would love a Staffie, and I'm glad to see he brings so much happiness to you. I actually started welling up reading this, as I know you must get some bad feedback from people about him. The most important thing is that he loves all of you and he makes you happy. Thanx for all the great comments about Deefer! (makes a change I can tell you). When I read the messages out to him his little tail wags so fast he looks like his butt is gonna fly off lol. He is gorgeous... I had a staffie so I know the bad reactions you get when people see them or you say you have one, when they are actually the most affectionate loyal dogs you can meet. Hope you have many happy years with him. x

Deefer is beautiful! I love Staffies. They are the most affectionate dogs and so willing to please. It's great to see Deefer in such a happy home. Looks like he has certainly landed on his paws!!

Deefer's favourite day is Sunday. He goes to the beach for a paddle and a game of catch, then home to spend some time with the family. He has his Sunday lunch with the rest of us, including roast beef, Yorkshire puds, gravy, potatoes, the lot! He loves being spoiled and is all the time. He goes everywhere with me, on the school runs, to town and on Saturday he goes to work with his Dad which he loves!

Deefer is a happy go lucky little chap! He loves his family with all his heart and is very protective of us. He has never shown a bad bone or stroke of aggression, ever!! He even likes our chickens. He is great with other dogs and just loves doggy playdates which we have once a week! We socialized him from a very young age with other dogs so we wouldn't have a problem
