Darcy is a Cockapoo who we got from Dogs Trust near Ashbourne. She's the funniest dog. I've always loved dogs and having bought a house getting a dog was a must. I was going to get a puppy but thought if I really love dogs I should rescue one so we went to the Dogs Trust (a fantastic place) and loved Darcy straight away. We walked her with a trainer and she was so lively and funny, chasing a ball, wrestling, giving us her paw, etc. After some formalities, we collected her the following week and its like we've always had her now.

Darcy has such a beautiful face, absolutely gorgeous!!

Oh Darcy is just adorable. I have a toy poodle and like Darcy he looks like a little bear when his hair grows long. They have the best little personalities!!

She's really nosy and loves standing up on the window sill to look out at the road. She chases birds all the time but won't ever catch one. And she wakes me up at the same time every morning like an alarm clock! She is a very affectionate dog and loves walks. We live in Artane in Dublin and its a great location because there is a park right beside us but we're also close to St Annes, Clontarf Strand, etc. She loves the Phoenix Park too and dives into the swampy streams there every time we go :) People comment on her all the time, she's so cute.

She has some funny habits like eating peas and blueberries and when she has her hair long she looks like a little black bear. When we bring her to our parents' houses she barges in and eats their dogs' food and drinks their water - she is quite confident! She looks totally different when we cut her hair, more like a lab but she was so hot we had to. We'll let it grow back for winter to keep her warm. She has her own little bed with a pillow and blanket and looks adorable bundled up at night. I could not imagine life without her! Darcy was born in 2007 and we are so glad that she is now part of our family!
