Bronson is a Staffie CrossMy husband and I fell head over heels in love with Bronson on a visit to the DSPCA in May 2008. We spent time with all the dogs that day but kept going back to Bronson's kennel. We just felt drawn to him and decided we couldn't leave without him. Having filled out an adoption form we were informed that he was reserved by someone else. We returned home with heavy hearts but we didn't give up hope and having been put on a waiting list, two weeks and two visits to Bronson later, he came home with us.

Hi Molly & Lisa, sorry for delay in response, we haven't been on oh my dog in a while. It's getting busy, lots of lovely new doggies on the site now :) Bronson is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier X, he is LOVING Spain, he always was a sun worshipper :) It has been a bit of an ordeal getting a "restricted breed" registered in Spain, had to get psychological evaluation for me and Bronson to make sure we weren't dangerous, sheesh :( Anyway the whole process and all the bureaucratic nonsense that went with it took from Feb til about 2 weeks ago, long and expensive but totally worth the peace of mind of knowing that Bronson is now "official" here and if he gets lost he is on a national register etc. If you are ever going to Spain with your fur babies give me a shout, it helps to know someone who's been through it ;)

He has turned our world upside down quite literally. He's the best fun and the biggest character you will ever meet. He is also incredibly tender and loving and you can't be in bad form when he's around. He will lick your tears away and snuggle his head under your chin as if to say "chin up, let's play, that always makes you feel better". My husband and I simply cannot imagine life without him. Thank you for choosing us as your family Bronson, we adore you munchkin baby xx!

UPDATE: Bronson and his Mam and Dad, Siobhan and Edwin, have moved from Dublin to sunny Spain! That's Siobhan and Bronson on a rock in Spain in the photo above. A new adventure begins!

ANOTHER UPDATE: Hello fellow doggies. Just to let you know that Bronson is FINALLY legal in Spain. It is tricky to get a "restricted breed" registered here. Psychological assessments for me, temperament tests for Bronson, compulsory public liability insurance and many other hoops had to be jumped through, an exhausting and expensive process but well worth it as he is now registered on the national database in case he ever gets lost. If anyone here is ever making such a move, feel free to contact me for advise or help, I wish I'd had some... language barrier aside, it's the bureaucracy that's the real kicker, grrr!

Here are some photos of Bronson sunbathing with Edwin, hanging out at the botanic gardens with me, snoozing with one of our many visitors, a dogs-eye view of Malaga and guzzling water, well it is VERY HOT here you know! We'll update again, but in the meantime enjoy your fab doggies :)
